Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is delivery?

Delivery inside the UK is free of charge. Items are shipped via Royal Mail in super-fancy record type mailers.

Are acrylic slipmats safe for my records?

Yes! Acrylic slipmats provide a smooth and stable surface that reduces friction and static. They’re designed to be gentle on your vinyl and help preserve sound quality.

Do acrylic slipmats work with all turntables?

Most modern turntables, especially direct-drive models, work great with acrylic slipmats. If you use a belt-drive turntable, just double-check the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Can I scratch and mix with an acrylic slipmat?

Absolutely. DJs love acrylic slipmats for their stability and smooth surface. They’re ideal for scratching, mixing, and cueing without skipping.

How do I clean an acrylic slipmat?

Just use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe it down. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, and your slipmat will stay looking fresh.

Can I get a custom design on my slipmat?

Yes! Many acrylic slipmats can be laser-engraved or cut to feature custom designs, logos, or messages. It’s a great way to personalise your turntable setup.

Is there a break-in period?

Nope. Acrylic slipmats are ready to use right out of the box—no fluffing, stretching, or fiddling required

Is Acrylic Recyclable?

Yes – acrylic is a recyclable material! While it can’t usually go in your kerbside recycling bin, many recycling centres or plastic specialists accept cast acrylic (often labelled as “PMMA” – polymethyl methacrylate). Offcuts and old slipmats can be repurposed or taken to a local recycling facility that accepts rigid plastics. We also aim to reuse as many offcuts as possible in our workshop, so nothing goes to waste where we can help it.
