Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before ordering any products from Slipmat (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
1. Introduction and Agreement
1.1. Parties: These Terms govern the sale of goods by Slipmat to you (the “Customer” or “Buyer”).
1.2. Agreement: By using this website and placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Product Information
2.1. Product: We sell high-gloss acrylic slipmats designed for record players and turntables.
2.2. Material & Size: All standard slipmats are made from high-quality 3mm acrylic and have a standard 290mm diameter.
2.3. Handmade Nature: All products are handmade to order. Due to this process, slight variations in finish, colour, or texture may occur, which are not considered faults.
3. Ordering and Contract Formation
3.1. Order Placement: Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase the goods.
3.2. Order Acceptance: The contract for the sale of products is formed only when we dispatch your order and confirm this via email (Order Acceptance). We reserve the right to decline any order before acceptance.
4. Custom and Personalised Orders
This section governs all products featuring custom text, logo uploads, or bespoke designs.
4.1. Design Responsibility: The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of any text, images, or files submitted for customisation (including spelling, grammar, and design placement). We accept no liability for errors in the final product arising from incorrect files or text supplied by the Customer.
4.2. Intellectual Property: By submitting artwork, you warrant that you have the full right and authority to use the submitted design and that the design does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
4.3. Non-Returnable: Due to the bespoke nature of personalised items, they are exempt from standard distance selling regulations. Personalised products cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or returned unless they are defective or damaged upon arrival.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1. Pricing: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
5.2. Payment: We accept payment via the methods listed on our website checkout page. Payment must be received in full before we begin production of any custom item.
6. Shipping and Delivery
6.1. Processing Time: All items are handmade to order. We require a 1–3 working day processing time before orders are dispatched.
6.2. Delivery Times: Delivery times are estimates only and begin once the order has been dispatched via Royal Mail. We are not liable for delays caused by the postal service.
7. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
7.1. Standard Returns (Non-Personalised): You may cancel an order for non-personalised items within 14 days of receipt and return the item within 30 days, provided it is unused and in its original condition.
7.2. Custom Returns (Personalised): As outlined in Clause 4.3, personalised items are non-returnable. If a faulty item is due to our production error, please contact us immediately to arrange a replacement or remedy.
8. Governing Law
8.1. Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
